| Quality is meeting our customer's requirements. Our practice will be to meet or exceed those requirements on every job.
Our goal is to continuously improve the processes, which contribute to our effectiveness, efficiency and productivity in order to deliver quality products and services at competitive prices. Ultimately the quality of our services lies with each employee.
It is the policy of CENTURUM to involve the work force in all aspects of issues related to their work activities. We will strive to stimulate creativity, initiative, and sense of responsibility and to provide an environment, which fosters a spirit of "pride in workmanship and teamwork"among employees.
In the company’s ongoing commitment to quality, CENTURUM developed and implemented a Quality Management System to ensure complete satisfaction of our customer’s needs. The basis for this system is ISO 9001:2000 standard, which encompasses the following eight principles:
• Customer Focus |
• System approach to management |
• Leadership |
• Continual improvement |
• Involvement of people |
• Factual approach to decision making |
• Process approach |
• Mutually beneficial supplier relationships |
CENTURUM has maintained a NAVSEA approved Quality Management System since the year 2000 and is currently pursuing the process of becoming ISO registered and anticipates having full ISO registration within two years.
This CENTURUM’s Quality Management System (QMS) Manual and referenced Quality Procedures, along with Work Instructions, and records of evidence, comprise CENTURUM’s ISO-compliant System. T his QMS Manual is intended to provide a starting point in the documented quality system upon which other, more specific guidance such as operating procedures and work instructions, may build as required, until the appropriate amount of detail necessary to avoid a quality noncompliance is achieved.
Operating procedures provide detailed guidance necessary to company users of information, and assign specific authorities and responsibilities for carrying out all the various activities of that element of the quality system that would be too lengthy to cover in the Quality Manual.
CENTURUM work instructions are a guide to personnel in performing specific tasks, such as operating specific equipment, carrying out and controlling processes, handling products, preparing a purchase order, operating a computer program etc. The distinction between work instructions and operating procedures is that an instruction relates to a single specific task, while a procedure regulates a whole activity that is an element of the quality system.
The most important element of CENTURUM’s Quality Management System is the accurate maintenance of records which ensure that all of the prior tiers are adhered to and have been completed.
