Position: Electronics Technician (Networking) (CH-07-18)
Location: Charleston, SC

Duties of Position:

Networking support for the Communications & Sensors Department. 

• Configure and manage hardware and software controlled Raid arrays.
• Configure, install and reconfigure systems using SQL Server 2005 and Windows Server 2003.
• Configure servers for multiple operating systems.
• Configure and manage multiple Local Area Networks and network configurations.
• Implement and track the configuration of hardware and software upgrades across multiple platforms.
• Review equipment configurations and recommend performance improvements/modifications.
• Evaluate, configure and operate network wireless technology.

• High School diploma or GED.  Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or 4 year electronics apprentice program.  Formal electronics training in: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
• 4 years of experience in: Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Installation and Checkout.
• 3 years experience in operation, training, and testing of C4ISR communications equipment and systems.
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) preferred.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.
• Network Plus Certification preferred.
• Technical Background in network integration and maintenance is preferred.
• Prior experience with Software Defined Radios and waveform testing is a plus.
