Electronics Technician (Networking) (CH-07-18)
Charleston, SC
Networking support for the Communications & Sensors Department.
- Configure and manage hardware and software controlled Raid arrays.
- Configure, install and reconfigure systems using SQL Server 2005 and Windows Server 2003.
- Configure servers for multiple operating systems.
- Configure and manage multiple Local Area Networks and network configurations.
- Implement and track the configuration of hardware and software upgrades across multiple platforms.
- Review equipment configurations and recommend performance improvements/modifications.
- Evaluate, configure and operate network wireless technology.
- High School diploma or GED. Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or 4 year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training in: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
- 4 years of experience in: Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Installation and Checkout.
- 3 years experience in operation, training, and testing of C4ISR communications equipment and systems.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) preferred.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.
- Network Plus Certification preferred.
- Technical Background in network integration and maintenance is preferred.
- Prior experience with Software Defined Radios and waveform testing is a plus.
