Position: Junior Technician (Drafter) (CH-08-02)
Location: Charleston, SC

Duties of Position:

The candidate will create shipboard and shore-based installation and modification drawings, including:  Electrical/electronic drawings, arrangements, elevations, mounting and assembly details and piping diagrams from rough sketches or preliminary drawings.  Candidate must be able to work from blueprints, drawings, technical manuals, military/DOD and commercial specifications.  Must be able to work effectively as a member of a drafting team to complete large projects.

High School diploma or GED and an AutoCad Certificate of Completion from an accredited college or university

Required Experience :

Requires one (1) year experience as a drafter preparing technical drawings and knowledge of Installation Design Plans (IDP), Ship Installation Drawings (SID) and Installation Control Drawings (ICD) in support of equipment installations on Naval ships and shore stations.

Remarks:

Travel to various worldwide locations may be required.
