Position: Senior Software Engineer (CH-08-03)
Location: Charleston, SC

Duties of Position:

Software Engineering support for the Communications & Sensors Department. 

• Evaluate and recommend Hardware (H/W) and Software (S/W) to meet customer’s requirements.
• Manage the rollout of new builds and system upgrades.
• Supervise corrective and preventative maintenance on existing equipment and systems.
• Evaluate and design maintenance/test programs for both H/W and S/W.
• Design and implement test plans and procedures addressing performance and multiple interfaces.
• Analyze information security procedures and risks for possible vulnerabilities. 
• Supervise implementation and tracking of H/W and S/W upgrades across multiple platforms.
• Review equipment configurations and recommend performance improvements/modifications.
• Manage vendors SDK’s and ensure that current S/W builds are up-to-date
• Some travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations

• BSEE, BSCE, or BSCS REQUIRED
• Required Skills / Experience
• 5 years in Software Engineering, administration and management related experience in C4ISR systems.
• Experience in writing S/W in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems including micro controllers, digital signal processors (DSP)s within a  limited memory resource environment
• Experience developing real-time control and data acquisition applications for PC-based systems
• Understanding of H/W circuit designs and their interactions between H/W and S/W designs
• Experience creating S/W requirements and design specifications
• Experience with emulators and debuggers to verify/troubleshoot embedded S/W designs
• Desired Skills / Experience
• Experience creating Windows-based applications using National Instruments development environment (LabView, Labwindows CVI, Teststand) and Microsoft.NET development environments
• Experience with Software Defined Radios (SDR) and waveform testing
