Position: Mechanical Engineer IV (SD-11-07)
Location: San Diego, CA

Duties of Position:

Work includes design, structural analysis, and testing of military hardware platforms and their electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Directs and coordinates all activities necessary to complete a major mechanical design project or several intermediate projects. Prepares staff work assignments and monitors progress of project.

A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and ten years experience or a Masters of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering with seven years experience. Experienced in the design, structural analysis, and testing of military hardware platforms and their electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. In addition, demonstrated experience in shipboard mechanical engineering of both above and below decks structures, including environmental considerations applicable to shipboard installations.

Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
