Position: Electrical / Electronics Engineer (SD-11-07)

Duties of Position:

Applies expertise in programming procedures to complex programs; recommends the redesign of programs, investigates and analyzes feasibility and program requirements, and develops programming specifications.  Plans the full range of programming actions to produce several interrelated by different products from numerous and diverse data elements. Performs programming analysis as investigating the feasibility of alternate program design approaches.  Programming analysis must be performed as part of the programming assignment. Tests and corrects programs and prepares instructions for operators who control the computer during runs.  Modifies programs to increase operating efficiency or to respond to changes in work processes; maintains records to document program development and revisions.  May function as team leader or supervise a few lower level programmers or technicians on assigned work.

A BS degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and ten years experience or a MS degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and seven years experience. Experienced in the design and development of HF/VHF/UHF LOS/SATCOM and baseband communication equipment and systems.  Experience with communications systems design and analyses, EMC analyses using scale models, and on-site systems test and evaluation, including high-order EMI techniques.
