Position: Software Engineer (SD-11-07)
Location: San Diego, CA

Duties of Position:

Applies expertise in programming procedures to large programs; recommends the redesign of programs, investigates and analyzes feasibility and program requirements, and develops programming specifications. Performs programming analysis as investigating the feasibility of alternate program design approaches.  Programming analysis must be performed as part of the programming assignment. May function as team leader or supervise a few lower level programmers or technicians on assigned work.

A BS degree in Computer Science or related field plus six years programming experience or an MS degree and three years programming experience. Experience in converting design specifications into concise, reliable computer program coding; creating and reading program flow charts to describe the processing of data; testing and correcting programs and preparing instructions for operators who control the system during runs. Experience in supervision of lower level programmers or technicians. Should be familiar with the following:

• Database
• Windows-based Tools
• Languages:
  • Ada
  • C++
