Position: Surveyor (SD-11-07)
Location: San Diego, CA

Duties of Position:

Surveys and investigates surfaces to project precise measurement and location of lines, angles, points, areas, and elevations. Performs project research, boundary calculations, and records accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

A high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 5 years experience in the field. Shall have completed an apprenticeship, and two years formal training in area of specialty. Required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of governmental agencies or professional and technical associations.

Remarks:

Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
