LOCKHEED MARTIN TEAM WINS ROLE ON $20 BILLION ARMY ITES-2S CONTRACT VEHICLE
Company to Compete for Future Federal Information Technology Business

SEABROOK, Md. – April 18, 2006 – A team headed by Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] has been selected by the U.S. Army to compete for up to $20 billion in future information technology task orders under the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions - Services (ITES-2S) contracting vehicle.

ITES-2S is a performance-based, indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity contract established by the Army's Program Executive for Enterprise Information Systems and managed by the Army Small Computer Program. It will be used by the Army and other federal agencies to obtain IT services, products and solutions for the next nine years. The award to Lockheed Martin includes three base years and three two-year options.

The new contract continues the original ITES-Enterprise Mission Support Services Solutions vehicle awarded to Lockheed Martin in November 2003. Services to be provided under ITES-2S include information security, education and training, business process reengineering, IT services, network support, systems operations and maintenance, program management, and enterprise design -- all to support the warfighter.

"ITES-2S will be our platform for our task order growth over the next decade as we support the Army IT enterprise. We look forward to working with all of our teammates and Army customers in a strong partnership in the years ahead," said Sonia Schmitt, Capture Manager for Lockheed Martin Information Technology's ITES-2S initiative, headquartered at Alexandria, Va.

The Army selected 11 companies to compete for ITES-2S tasks which may be issued by the Army, the Defense Department or other federal agencies to issue individual task orders. Lockheed Martin's teammates include CACI International Inc., ManTech International Corp., SRA International, Inc., PriceWaterhouseCoopers and many small business and hardware vendor partners.

Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin employs about 135,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. The corporation reported 2005 sales of $37.2 billion.
