South Carolina Operations Recognized by SPAWAR SYSCEN Atlantic

Centurum - South Carolina Operations: Senior Electronics Technician Roger Yoder was among a group of individuals that were recognized recently with a SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic “Lightning Bolt” Excellence award for their role with the Critical and Urgent Response (CURE) team that restored critical communications capabilities onboard the USS HARTFORD (SSN-768) following HARTFORD’s at-sea collision with the USS NEW ORLEANS (LPD-18) in the Straits of Hormuz. Roger and the other members of the CURE Team developed, installed, and tested an interim commercial satellite solution that provided critical communications and navigational aids which allowed the HARTFORD to effect a safe transit from the Persian Gulf back to her stateside homeport.
