CHARLESTON DEPARTMENT ACHIEVES CMMI CERTIFICATION
Completed By Centurum South Carolina Operations Division’s Life Cycle Support Department
North Charleston, SC - June 8, 2008
On June 6, 2008, the Centurum South Carolina Operations Division’s Life Cycle Support Department completed a successful Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model - Integration (CMMI) Standardized CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI A) appraisal of their Automatic Identification System (AIS) and Cooperative Outboard Logics Upgrade (COBLU) programs. During the SCAMPI A appraisal, the most rigorous form of appraisal under the SEI CMMI program, the department was rated at Capability Level 2 (CL-2) in the Project Management, Project Monitoring and Control, Supplier Agreement Management, Requirements Management, Process and Product Quality Assurance, Configuration Management, and Measurement and Analysis Process Areas. Based upon the achievement of CL-2 in all of the evaluated Process Areas, Centurum is entitled to claim CMMI Maturity Level 2 for the entire Life Cycle Support Department.
