The candidate will be required to: - Create, update, and maintain hardware configuration records in Configuration Data Manager Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA). - Provide input to Engineering Alternatives (EA) regarding the logistical impacts of proposed system configuration changes to hardware Configuration Items (CIs) and their related logistics, engineering and programmatic documentation. - Perform physical configuration audits based on final drawing packages, and be attuned to hardware defects and change requests relevant to the program. - Identify process shortfalls to the Configuration Manager; propose and document solutions and processes. - Provide administrative support for CMPro users. Generate baseline reports using Configuration Management tools.
The candidate must have: - 3+ years hands-on experience working in logistics and with the following types of applications: CMPro, Rational Team Concert, DOORS Next Generation, Rational Quality Manager. - Experience and be comfortable working with MS Office Products. - Knowledge of Hardware Configuration Management concepts and practices. - Strong communication skills and experience working in team environments. - Individual must maintain eligibility for a DOD SECRET security clearance.
This position requires a Secret US DoD security clearance.
CMPIC Certification and strong background in English grammar and Quality Assurance analysis.
Additional four years specific relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
