- Create, update, and maintain hardware configuration records in Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Configuration Management (CM) Professional (CMPro) database. - Provide input to Engineering Alternatives (EA) regarding the logistical impacts of proposed system configuration changes to Hardware Configuration Items (HWCIs) and their related logistics, engineering, and programmatic documentation. - Review engineering drawings to validate product information and associations with higher-level items and assemblies in CMPro. Employ CM standards and best practices for consistent naming conventions. - Identify process shortfalls to the Configuration Manager; propose and document solutions and processes. - Provide administrative support for CMPro users. - Within the CMPRO database, enter and update HWCI information; create Initial, Product, and Allocated Baseline information; and generate baseline reports on an as-needed basis.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience working in DOD acquisition logistics - 3+ years working with the CMPro database - Experience and basic proficiency with MS Office Products - Knowledge of Hardware Configuration Management concepts and practices - Strong communication skills and experience working in team environments - Must maintain a DOD SECRET security clearance
This position requires a Secret US DoD security clearance.
- Experience with IBM Rational Team Concert, DOORS Next Generation, Rational Quality Manager - Configuration Management Process Improvement Center (CMPIC) or other professional logistics certification
Additional four years specific relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
