Electronics Technician with four plus (4+) years of recent Radio Frequency Communication Systems experience in planning, procurement, upgrades, installations, fielding, and integration, Casualty Report (CASREP) support, technical support, help desk support, lab support, and distance support. Support Life Cycle requirements and provide technical support for systems acquisition of Radio Frequency Communication Systems. Develop written instructions, procedures, schematics and other technical documentation; and likewise, review, redline or rewrite written instructions, procedures, schematics and other technical documentation in support of In-Service sustainment logistics. Capable of performing all duties unsupervised. Prepare or provide ad hoc status and briefings of assigned tasks. Prior experience and working knowledge of Commercial Broadband Satellite Progam (CBSP) and Commercial Wideband Satellite Prrogram (CWSP). Conduct testing, troubleshooting, repair on system, equipment, and component items for the terminal and baseband systems.
A technical school, trade school or military training in industrial engineering, electronics technology, information systems, computer science or other related technical field and six years Navy SATCOM troubleshooting and/or customer service experience providing technical support to engineers in such areas as research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement.
This position requires a Secret US DoD security clearance.
Desired related experience: Extremely High Frequency (EHF), Super High Frequency (SHF), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), GBS with Split IP focus, KA Band, Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) Processor (TIP), Advanced TIP (A-TIP), and Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT) systems. Demonstrate Network Engineering troubleshooting experience aboard Navy platforms.
Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel.
