Must have a minimum of 6+ years of recent Navy C4I(S) experience; 3+ years of recent experience applying and managing Information Assurance (IA) requirements in a DOD environment (in accordance with the DoD 8570 Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program); 5+ years engineering experience with computer LAN/WAN systems including systems analysis, systems/equipment support, software development, test and evaluation, and systems integration; and recent experience testing incremental releases of developmental and application specific software using government approved test procedures and test cases to support upgrade and maintenance of management information systems; proficient in DISA STIG procedures to include Gold Disk and Retina network scanning and have recent experience maintaining and testing COLTS and OABS tools in development and operational environments; required to have and maintain a current Security+ Certificate and Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certificate; capable of developing written instructions, procedures, schematics and other technical documentation; and likewise, review, redline or rewrite written instructions, procedures, schematics and other technical documentation in support of In-Service information technology tools; perform all duties unsupervised; capable of providing the status of assigned tasks via both prepared and ad hoc oral briefings to project manager.
Prior knowledge working on the Extremely High Frequency (EHF), Super High Frequency (SHF), Global Broadcast System (GBS), KA Band, Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) Processor (TIP), or Navy Multi-band Terminal (NMT) systems is required. This position will be required to have and maintain a SECRET clearance.
This position requires a Secret US DoD security clearance.
Desire experience providing support in the prevention of damage to, protection of, and restoration or computers, electronic communications systems, electronic communications services, wire communication, and electronic communication to ensure data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and nonrepudiation; at a minimum, individual is desired to be able to design secure systems, write secure computer code, and create the tools needed to prevent, detect, mitigate, and reconstitute information systems.
