Supports Test Equipment and Automated Test Equipment Calibration and Repair activities. Accomplishes calibration of General Purpose Test Equipment (GPTE) and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and Monitoring Systems. Repairs to the extent to permit calibration of the repairable. Affixes a standard calibration sticker to the repaired/calibrated test equipment. Defines significant out of tolerance conditions so appropriate action can be taken to correct possible non-conformance. Provides tracking, control, and Preventive Maintenance Servicing (PMS) such as observing operational characteristics and filter cleanliness. Provides inventory control for all GPTE. Performs Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) integration of hardware and software. Continues to develop working knowledge of all operating standards, practices, and procedures, including safety procedures. Other duties as required.
3 yrs recent relevant experience in calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and de-installation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides and ducts, while using calibration standards, logic analyzers, digital oscilloscopes and other test equipment. Relevant experience on quality management systems (ISO 9001:2008 or equivalent). Basic Electrical and Electronics (BEE), Navy “A” School plus one or more calibration schools: - Navy calibration schools Electronics Standards Specialist, Navy "C" School - Field Calibration Activity Technician, Navy "C" School - Advanced Calibration Technician School - Intermediate Level Test Equipment Calibration - Intermediate Level Calibration of Physical/Dimensional Test and Measuring Systems Phases B/D This position requires a Secret US DoD security clearance.
